Minnesota Energy Resources and the federal government provide weatherization assistance to low income residents in the state of Minnesota to help reduce their energy use and bills.
Weatherization assistance is provided through local agencies that serve specific counties. Minnesota Energy Resources provides funds for its customers to supplement the federal dollars. These funds can pay for weatherization. For more information, visit Weatherization Assistance program.
Minnesota Energy Resources also provides funding for emergency replacement of heating and water heating systems. The Community Action Program (CAP) agency responsible for weatherization services will also be responsible for the coordination of any emergency replacements.
These services are available at no cost to qualifying customers.
